The foundation

The FYSSEN Foundation was state-approved by decree on 20th March 1979.
Its headquarters are located 194, rue de Rivoli, 75001 paris, France.
The aim of the FYSSEN Foundation  is to encourage “all forms of scientific inquiry in cognitive mechanisms, including thought and reasoning, which underly animal and human behavior; their biological and cultural bases, and phylogenetic and ontogenetic development”.

The Foundation encourages all the researches relative to the capacities to reason and more widely in the cognitive processes to animals and man as well as in the biological and cultural foundations of these processes

Our
mission

The FYSSEN Foundation aims to support research which will lead to a more rigorous and precise approach to this fundamental domain, calling upon such disciplines as ethology, paleontology, archeology, anthropology, psychology, logic and the nervous system sciences.

His Founder, Mr H. FYSSEN was particularly interested in the scientific understanding of these fundamental questions.
